Hypnosis is a wonderful tool for bringing about powerful, positive change in your life or the life of someone you love. I work with people of all ages, helping them to overcome a range of challenging issues.
Why hypnosis?
Hypnosis is supported by research as an effective treatment modality. Because hypnosis works directly with the subconscious mind – which is where our habits, beliefs, and experiences are stored – it is an amazingly fast and effective tool for better physical, mental and emotional health. I am experienced in utilizing a variety of hypnotic techniques to help each of my clients achieve better health and balance in their lives.
Hypnosis is especially effective in situations where there is no known organic, physical origin of a given condition. An example of this is anxiety – general anxiety, panic attacks, specific phobias. Anxiety is known to be especially responsive to the use of hypnosis as a tool in therapy.
If you have questions about hypnosis
Concerned you won’t remember what went on in a session? (You will remember!) Worried you won’t have control? (You will!) Afraid you’ll do something embarrassing during or after the session? (You won’t!) Give me a call – I offer a free telephone consultation so that you can ask any questions you might have about hypnosis. The more comfortable you are with what hypnosis is and how it works, the more effective it will be for you! You can also listen to the “Intro to Hypnosis” audio file for a brief introduction to hypnosis. I recommend that anyone interested in doing work with hypnosis listen to this before coming to their first session.
One-on-one sessions are provided for individuals struggling with a major block in life, such as anxiety, depression, or anger. I also work with problems that might not seem so “big” yet still keep a person feeling “stuck” in his or her life, like nail biting or a fear of flying.
Hypnosis for children & adolescents
Children and adolescents respond very well to hypnosis. Their blend of creative, imaginative minds and lack of stereotyped images of hypnosis results in young clients that are receptive to hypnosis and are easy to work with. Some of the issues I help children with are:
– Anxiety
– Anger
– Bedwetting
– Eating habits
– Nervous habits
– School performance
– Sleep problems
– Test anxiety
