Parent mediation is a less formal and less costly approach than using a Parenting Consultant. It’s a good option for co-parents who have demonstrated the ability to work through most post-divorce issues, but who still need some third party facilitation.
In the role of doing parent mediation, I don’t have the same authority to make binding decisions as I would as a Parenting Consultant. We work together to discuss and resolve issues, and the agreements rely on the commitment of the two co-parents to carry the agreements forward.
If you and your co-parent are struggling with minor yet stubborn issues, consider parent mediation to help issues reach resolution!
